My wife suddenly cannot connect to hyperlinks in her AOL mail. Can someone
help?

What is the symptom? Is it opening a page with errors when she click on
those links?

Absolutely nothing happens when she clicks on the links.

The standard cure for problems like this is to uninstal the
app, then reinstal it. This works more than half the time.

WinXP SP2 or SP3? IE6, IE7, or IE8? Is the computer fully patched at
Windows Update?

1a. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program
Access and Defaults | Click on the downward-pointing arrows to the right of
the configuration that's already checked | Browser: Select "Internet
Explorer" here (not "Use my current...").

Default web browser.
If no joy, see:
2a. Hyperlinks do not work in Outlook Express after you upgrade to IE7
[and/or IE8]
