Operations manager
technet microsoft.com/en=us/library/bb419281.aspx

I went to the microsoft download page and downloaded the correct one for my
computer and about 20 minutes later, it crashed again, and it is still in a
poor state now. My pages are really zoomed in and everything is out of place
on it even the start button, tool bar and taskbar. It is lagging very bad and
freezing.

This is what I received the second thime.
Support info. Dr. Watson update ID:{724309E5-E712-426c-B94D-B6B442511c29F}
I don't understand this.

I use the Windows XP service pk2
Thank you,

It sounds very much like a malware infection (without more information,
it is difficult to know for sure).

Does [are] the symptoms less obvious, or gone in 'Safe mode'?

If you can download MalwareBytes (Anti-Malware) on the PC with the
problem (or probably better to download it on a different machine), and
then do a full scan of your PC and allow the program to fix anything it
finds.

If it does not find an infection (I will be surprised) we will have to
think again what may be causing this.

For now, though, I think MalwareBytes has got to be your best bet at
this stage.

Carmma

technet microsoft.com/en=us/library/bb419281.aspx

Why did you want to download Operations Manager 2007? What were you
planning to use it for?

Is your computer a home computer?

So you think that installing Operations Manager is the cause of these
symptoms?

I thought it more likely to be malware infection.

Are these symptoms part of known issues with Operations Manager?

Thank you very much Tim. I have never encountered this before so I was very
confused up until now. I had just switched over to a new antivirus protection
program two days ago..that is when it must have happened. Again thank you!

Yes that is mine. There is also another thing that I got but it looks a lot

No Tim but the user seeking to download Operations Manager 2007 is a
little unusual.

The reference to Dr Watson suggests the OP is trying to investigate an
error. The guid should I suspect be:
(724309E5-E712-426C-B94D-B6B42511C29F)

The guid posted contained an extra 4!

Many references in Google to this guid are in Hijackthis logs and refer
to the Registry and mention the ARP cache.

The previous guid could be a patch for:
{C09FB3CD-3D0C-3F2D-899A-6A1D67F2073F}
which translates to Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2

However, this analysis of the original post still does not explain what
Carmma is trying to do. Until that is known it is difficult to provide
targetted help.

Yes now I do believe that it is my problem. This operations mgr. is a new
version 2007 that includes a deployment guide link to the site and page that
contain your solution....but it deployed me back to the problem...lol. So is
there a solution to my problem?

Is your computer a standalone home computer? The reason I ask is that I
do not understand why you might want Operations Manager 2007 for a home
computer.

Operations Manager 2007 is not malware.

Why do you think you might have a malware infestation?

What are you anti-virus and anti-spyware arrangements?

The other O M was known for sending false crash reports and way too many of
them. So a while back technet.microsoft announced their soon to be launched
2007 R2 version with supported configurations. So I thought 'hey..less false
reports.' I suppose it is going to have a few bugs still.

Thank you Gerry for your help...

Why in the world would you install this OM which is designed for a server
environment on a stand alone XP home computer. On top of that an Alpha version of
R2. Obviously you are going to have issues and issues at that. Delete it if you can
but I doubt since it is a Alpha release Beta. To remove this from your system you
will need a clean reformat and an install

carmma,
I did not realize that OM was a first release, it is
probably the cause of your problems.

My first thoughts were to ignore your 'Operations Manager' software and
believed it was more likely to be an infection of some sort.

While it could still be a malware infection, and running MalwareBytes
can never do you any harm, it is now my belief that it is more probable
to be the OM software that is causing conflict.

If it's at all possible, uninstall 'Operations Manager' as soon as
possible and due to "Gerry's" point that the Dr Watson code refers to a
Dot.NetFramework error, try installing the latest service pack
(NetFramework 3.5).

Chasing up on all three possibilities could go a long way to sorting out
your problems;

Uninstalling 'Operations Manager'
Installing NetFramework 3.5
Running MalwareBytes

I do hope, very much, that it does.
