Interesting guide there Match
Did you consider adding rougue antispyware as another category as it isn't covered by what you have.
Its prime objective is to con, and extract money from unsuspecting surfers. Thats a little bit different to any of the other categories you have there, and its rapidly increasing around the net.
Antivirus 360, XP Police, etc etc.
There's a whole list of them here

No I didn't for a good reason. . . . I hadn't heard the term before, I was aware of its existance but just thought that it came under spyware, and adware, however I will consider a little addition as Wikipedia have given it a mention I suppose that I should as well.

Rogue programs are more and more infecting peoples computers. Unsuspecting average users actually think that if they get a popup saying you are infected then they should click on the popup to disinfect their computers. Sneaky little beasts aren't they? Prime example is XP Antivirus.
The best thing to do when you see a Rogue program like that is to use Ctrl-ALT-Delete to bring up the Task Manager and close it that way. "X'ing" out of it or clicking "no" or "cancel" can install the program. Then you are in for all types of problems!

Good Advice I think we will have to include that somewhere in a guide, you can also use ALT+F4 on vista and think its the same on XP, and would asume that Windows 7 will be the same.

The Internet if full of dumb stuff.
Google any Computer problem, such as "How To" or "Fix" and half of the answers are dumb, and sometimes dangerous.
It's up to us,whether we believe what we are reading, or not.
I normally believe something on the Net, when many people say the same thing.
So what,if "Yahoo Answers" get it wrong occasionally, most sites do,from time to time.
I have found Yahoo Answers, normally pretty accurate.:)

You can also use Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager. I believe this works on all windows versions from XP onwards.
