Hi Guys.I have Opera Browser 9.64,and find the Address Bar is changing, about every 10 seconds.Quite distracting.
Finding this on 3 Computers, and only on this Site.
Wondering if other members are experiencing likewise.
Changes from this-normal,

Lol @ Barry -

Doug the Opera browser is very safe and therefore very limiting to what you can and cant access - have you added CHF to the safe list equivalent

Hello Doug. Don't worry too much about it as the site refreshes itself every 10 seconds or so and Opera is merely reloading the page elements. That might be very distracting indeed so you can try and disable a relevant setting on the Options screen. Don't use Opera myself so can't provide specific instructions. Sorry for that.

Will have a look around and try to post if I can find something. :)

Thanks Goku.I am finding this flashing all the time, most annoying.
My Question is,Why only on this site?
I went into Tools, and cant find anything, regarding correcting this problem.:)

EDIT.I feel the issue may lay with the way this software is set, because I have no issues with other VBULLETIN Sites.

Hey Doug... I use Opera 98% of the time. It's not Opera causeing the refresh. I bet it is the google ads at the bottom of this page doing it. Even if it is not the ads, it is not Opera, or a setting in Opera that you need to change. It is something with this site since it only affects this site, and not a browser issue.

Thanks Bonnie.I reinstalled Opera 9.64,and still the same.
I would like Admin to find out what the problem is,and rectify.
Has to be software settings,I repeat,it's only on this Site.:)

I am not clear from Bonnie's post if she (you) are having the same issue or not. I know of no browser specific settings in the ACP that would cause this. In fact I am not altogether sure what "this" is.

I do see the difference in the address bar but have never used Opera. If it is code related then it will be up to Bob to sort.

Yes, I have the same issue. I asked John, and he agreed that the google ads on the site are most likely the culprit. But we could both be wrong.

I have Opera installed so I'll check it out. It could be the woopra stats code doing a refesh. I'll check it out.

It is doing it for me also. I don't know why. I have no meta refesh tags on the pages. This might be tough to find.

I have no idea what these tags are but another site I frequent also uses them and it also has the habit of refreshing automatically after a few seconds.

The problem is the woopra js. It refreshes to get accurate stats. The same thing happens on the other sites I have it installed on.

The data I get from having the js is too valuable to lose.

Ay least you have found the culprit,BSchwarz.
From what I have read, there is a new Woopra RC1, and they are looking for testers to report any issues.
Wondering should you report this issue, with this Browser,so measures can be taken to eliminate this annoyance, before it's final release.:)

If your talking about us Goku the forum refresh time is set to 20 minutes whereas Who's Online is set at 30 seconds.

Woopra runs perfectly for me on both Vista and 7 under Firefox and as Bob said the data is immensely valuable.
