There is however a new chip just launched G6950 (which costs £75) which is a stock dual core 2.8GHz 32nm Clarkdale CPU (locked muptiplier
What's the heat increase though on load? can it run Prime95 smallfft stress test etc

Re: Prime95 smallfft stress test. I assume this is freeware. Where can I DL it ?

I can run / game @ 3910 Mhz / 1.55 Volts without a hiccup.
But, as soon as I try to run Prime95 my system crashes.

At the end of the day, if the system is 'stable' for your needs, then it would probably be fine, tests like Prime are designed to find any slight weaknesses in a system OC/system, so dont take it to heart. people spend days getting Prime to run, and when it does and completes you know that the system will be capable of handling any tasks you throw at it.
When you start OCing and compare against other peoples OC, they ALWAYS want a Prime and a CPUZ screenshot

I know. I wasn't banging my head on my desk. I'm really not into that whole third eye thing.
What would be useful is having Prime95 ID the cause of the crash, instead of just crashing.
Then it would make sense to continue the process. Just pass or fail doesn't cut the mustard.

Presently working on passing SmallFFT 24K test on Desktop.

I haven't used an AMD chip for a LONG time, well to OC anyway
Software OCs are very unstable

I've never done a soft overclock. Not even once.
Because it throttles back the CPU, I even have AMD's
"Cool 'n' Quiet" disabled in the Bios on my System
I used AMD Overdrive solely for the purpose of displaying
the settings I was using for the purpose of overclocking.

cool and quiet wont stop an OC like it used to on the older AMD architectures

Prime95 test time down from 2:40:46 to 2:05:36.
Seeing I am 5-6*C from the thermal limit of the CPU during Prime95 testing,
I'm not going any further with my current cooling solution.

Im not sure of pricing of the H50 in the US, but its around £55-60 in the UK, it only comes with 1x 120 RAD though so it wont be able to cool anything else along with the CPU
