Is it p ossible to do such thing.....Using and external hard drive to
install a missing driver to an HDD upgraded PC run by WinXP?
I tried it but have difficulty in doing such.. Can anybody give me
some ideas how to do it right?

- Visit the manufacturer's web page (of the hardware device in question.)
- Locate and download the latest hardware device driver (for the hardware
device in question and for the operating system on the other machine.)
- Copy the downloaded driver to the external device/media.
- Take the external device/media to the other machine.
- Connect/insert the external device/media to the other machine.
- Install the driver for the hardware device either directly from the
external device/media or copy it to the local hard disk drive first and
install it from there.
Now - if you mean you want to fix a computer with a bum driver because you
moved the hard drive from another machine - repair installation (that is not
a clean install.)
